Fairy fort in Gortnalibbert, County Leitrim: a grass-covered circular area, 26m by 24m inside a low earthen bank, with a man-made underground passage in the interior. The bank is 4 to 6m wide and about 0.4 to 1.1m high inside, while a broken field wall still marks parts of the edge. It sits on an east-facing slope, where light would have struck the entrance and the passage below would have stayed cool and dark.

Situated on an E-facing slope. Grass-covered circular area (int. diam. 26m N-S; 24m E-W) defined by a low earthen bank (Wth 4-6m; int. H 0.4-1.1m; ext. H 0.4m). The remains of a field wall can be seen intermittently on the perimeter. The Man-made underground passage site (LE012-019002-) is in the interior. Archaeological testing (03E1859) c. 40m to the N at the closest point produced no related material (Read 2006).
