Situated just S of the summit of a fairly low drumlin. This is an oval grass-covered area (dims 37.5m N-S; 27m E-W) defined by a scarp (at W: H 1.6m; at N: H 0.9m) with a hedge at its base NE-SSW, and slight indications of an outer fosse at N. The original entrance is not identified. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Monaghan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986).
