Fairy fort in Glenlea, County Kerry: a circular earthen enclosure marked on the 1842 OS map, absent by 1916, with no surface trace left. It may have been a boundary marker, a seasonal shelter, or a child's made-up castle drawn from memory of shapes in the ground. Whatever it was, the land kept its secret long enough to be measured, then gave it back to grass and rain.

This circular enclosure is marked on the 1842 OS map. It does not appear on the 1916 OS map and no surface trace remains today. The above description is derived from C.
