Mortons and other humans may have built the Glencorran ringfort, but the fairies took it over and made it their own. They fly at night and drop little pins into the skin of sleeping people. The field beside the fort is called the Fairy Fort because they still live there.

Raised circular area (int. diam. 28.1m) enclosed by a substantial earthen bank. An earlier report (OPW 1970) recorded that there was formerly an outer fosse and external bank both of which have been levelled. Wide break in bank accompanied by very slight traces of a causeway at NNE represents original entrance.
