Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

That is the present fact. There is no hidden backup or withheld evidence. I will not decorate the claim or invent a story that makes you doubt what already happened.
Located towards the top of a rise in an undulating landscape. This is a grass and scrub-covered circular area (diam. 27.5m NW-SE) defined by a slight overgrown earthen bank (Wth 3.1m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 1.1m) which is largely reduced to a scarp (max. H 1.9m at WNW) and an external fosse (Wth 2.95m; D 0.45m). The original entrance is not identified. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 23 September 2008

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
