Fairy fort in Fornaght, County Cork: a 28.5m earthen ring with a one-metre bank, shallow outer ditch and an eastern gap, still holding grass and pasture. It is the kind of place where people may have lived, herded or hidden before becoming a fairy name, yet the circle remains clear enough to walk around and imagine.

In pasture. Circular area (diam. 28.5m) defined by earthen bank (H 1m), with shallow external fosse. Break in bank to E. Interior used for grazing.
