Flean Beg holds a thirty-two-metre earthen ring where marsh water still touches the ancient bank. The eastern half drowns in rough pasture while the western half chokes under dense overgrowth, creating a place where human memory has surrendered to green oblivion. Local tradition calls it a fairy fort, suggesting the residents rejected human ownership rather than losing the site. The earth itself may have simply taken back what people forgot.

In marshy area of rough-grazing. Circular area (32m NW-SE) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1.7m) with external fosse (Wth 2.3m), and external bank SE->SW (int. H 0.6m; ext. H 1.4m). Inner bank grades into scarped edge SW->N (H 2m; Wth 5m). External bank is replaced/overlain by field boundary SW->SE.
