What is recorded here

Situated on a long, irregularly shaped ridge in grassland, with good views to N and E. The road which marks the townland boundary with Battstown lies 170m to E, Fennor Castle (WM013-049----0 is 435m to W. Described in 1975 as an unusually large sub-circular shaped area (approx. diam. 54m N-S) enclosed by a low earth and stone bank and shallow external fosse. The interior is higher than the top of the bank, the bank having enclosed the top of a natural ridge. There is a possible entrance gap (Wth 2.5m) at ENE. A post 1837 field fence running N-S bisects the interior. The site appears to have been levelled along with the field boundary as only the cropmark of the monument is visible on Digital Globe aerial photograph taken November 2011.
