What is recorded here

Farthingville West holds a broken earthen ring where human hands shaped the slope before memory faded. The bank still rises beside a shallow ditch, marking a boundary drawn in soil rather than stone. People may have lived inside that circle, watched the western sky or kept what they valued from the open field. The fairies took the name because the purpose slipped away, leaving a hollow place that still resists explanation.

In pasture, on WSW-facing slope. Circular, slightly raised area (56.1m E-W; 52.7m N-S) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.7m) NE->S; scarp elsewhere; external fosse (D 0.85m) NNE->SSW.
