Fairy fort in Farranmiller is a circular earthen ringfort, twenty-seven metres across, set on a north-facing pasture slope in County Limerick. Its bank rises nearly two metres externally but drops to thirty centimetres internally, creating a shallow bowl rather than a defensive wall. Cattle have broken through the inner bank from northeast to southeast, suggesting the interior once served as grazing or forage rather than residence. The causeway entrance at the south measures one metre wide, just broad enough for a person or animal to pass deliberately.

In undulating pasture, on N-facing slope. Circular area (27m N-S; 26m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.3m; ext. H 1.95m) NW->SW, and defined by scarped edge (H 2.35m; Wth 4m) with external fosse (Wth 1.3m) SW->NW. External bank (int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.3m) extant SE->NE, but overlain by field boundary SE->NW so that site occupies SW corner of field. Numerous breaks in inner bank from NE->SE caused by cattle accessing interior. Causeway entrance (Wth 1m) at S. Interior, under pasture, slopes down gently to W.
