Fairy fort in Farran, County Cork, is a circular earthen ringfort with a two-metre western gap, marking a boundary between human memory and folklore. It stands on a west-facing slope, enclosed by a bank and partial ditch, suggesting deliberate construction rather than natural rise. The name transforms archaeology into imagination: what looks like a abandoned stronghold becomes a threshold where the visible world thins.

In pasture, on W-facing slope. Circular area (28.9m N-S; 30.5m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 1.1m), with external fosse (D 1.3m) SE-SW. Break in bank to W (Wth 2m).
