What is recorded here

Three concentric banks and fosses still circle the flat Galway grassland, measuring seventy-two by sixty-eight metres crest to crest. The outer ring remains almost complete while the inner rings fade beneath soil and trees, suggesting repeated human use rather than a single abandoned event. A large pit now scars the northern interior, proving the fort served living people long enough to be dug into as often as it was built.

In flat grassland. Poorly preserved and partially tree-covered subcircular rath (N-S 72m, E-W 68m: crest to crest outer bank) defined by three banks and three fosses. The inner bank and inner fosse survive clearly from NW through N to SE but have been almost levelled elsewhere. The middle bank survives only from NW through N to E, while the middle fosse is clearly visible only from NW to NE. In contrast, the outer bank and outer fosse are traceable for almost their full circumference. Though a number of gaps are visible, none appear to be original. The interior is heavily disturbed, especially in N half where a large pit has been dug.
