Fairy fort in Dunmahon: a 32-metre earthen ring on a south-facing slope, still marked by a 1.4-metre scarp and a shallow outer ditch. It is the sort of place where people once drew a line around the land, made it theirs, and left the line standing after they went. The conifers in the middle do not dim that shape; they make the old boundary harder to dismiss.

In pasture, on S-facing slope. Roughly circular raised area (32m E-W; 26m N-S) defined by scarp (H 1.4m) with internal lip surviving in parts; shallow external fosse (D 0.2m). Interior slopes gently down to S; planted with coniferous trees. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
