Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Drumstevlin

Internal diam. c. 20m. A circular area enclosed by a large earthen bank up to .95m in height. There are traces of a fosse on the N and NE sectors. To the NE is a break in the bank, 2.5m in width, with the sides stone-lined. The interior is level but waterlogged. It is situated on a terrace on the crest of a low hill overlooking Donegal Bay surrounded by fairly good pasture. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal.
