Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Drummond

Situated on the SW-facing slope of a low N-S ridge of ground in undulating countryside; the interior has not been levelled. A circular area (diam. 50m E-W) enclosed by an earthen bank (Wth 2.5m; int. H 1m) with slight traces of a shallow external fosse. There is a possible entrance gap (Wth 4m) at SW. The interior follows the natural slope of low N-S ridge which traverses the interior of the site. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary.
