Fairy fort in Drumlona, County Monaghan, holds a broken earthen circle at the ridge end where grass has swallowed the entrance. People may have lived inside that small ring before forgetting the door, while others denied the truth and called the forgotten room a fairy trap. The land kept both claims alive because it stopped explaining itself.

Located just off the crest at the SE end of a N-S drumlin ridge. This is a subcircular overgrown area (dims c. 29m E-W; 25m N-S) defined by a slight earthen bank (at NNW: Wth of base 3.9m; Wth of top 2m; int. H 0.85m; ext. H 1.2m), with no visible fosse but there is an outer drain NW-E. The bank is largely reduced to an external scarp (at WNW: H 1.5m), and the original entrance is not identified.
