What is recorded here

Located at the crest of a SW-facing slope. This is a circular grass-covered area (diam. 31m NW-SE: 28.5m NE-SW) planted with some deciduous trees and defined by an earthen bank (Wth c. 3m; int. H c. 0.4m; ext. H 0.9m at E to c. 1.8m at N) separated by a fosse (Wth of base c. 2m) from an outer bank (at SSE: Wth of base 5.5m; Wth of top 2.8m; int. H 0.35m; ext. H 0.9m). The entrance through the inner bank (Wth of base 3m) and causeway (Wth of top 2.2m; H 0.4m) are at SE. It remains unplanted with its original trees within a coniferous forest (Digitalglobe image).
