Mud and memory still hold the shape of a home. The fort is a raised circle about thirty-six metres across, ringed by a heavy earthen bank, a shallow ditch and a broken outer edge. Its entrance faces southeast, now hidden beneath thick growth. People may have lived there, feared there or forgotten it entirely. The earth remembers the shape even when human memory fails.

Raised circular area (int. diam. c. 36m) enclosed by a very substantial inner earthen bank, a wide, shallow intermediate fosse and fragmentary remains of an outer earthen bank. Original entrance represented by wide break in inner bank at SE. Densely overgrown with vegetation.
