Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Dromorehill

Half a kilometre across the grassland, a circular rath stands forty-nine metres wide, its twin banks and central ditch still drawing a clear line around forgotten life. The outer wall has surrendered everywhere except the north, where earth holds its shape against time. Inside the northwest quadrant, a man-made passage descends into darkness, inviting curiosity or warning depending on the hour. People may have lived, hidden, or worshipped within that circle before memory faded, leaving only grass and shadow to keep the shape.
