Fairy fort in Dromleena, County Cork: a 35 m earthen ring on an SSE-facing slope, its bank 1.9 m high and partly stone-faced. The name suggests mischief, but the shape suggests people: a home, a boundary, a place for keeping what mattered.

In pasture, on SSE-facing slope. Roughly circular area (diam. c. 35m) enclosed by earthen bank (H 1.9m) NNW->SE; scarp (H 1.4m) to S and W. Low bank to N, topped by stone wall. Bank and scarp stone faced in parts. Interior raised on S side to compensate for hillslope; S half crossed by cultivation ridges on NW-SE axis.
