Fairy fort in Dromdowney Lower, County Cork. Circular earthworks, thirty metres across, with a five-metre gap on the east where a farm building later took hold. The west bank has thinned to a low ridge, while dumped soil still bumps across the north interior. People may have lived there before the field closed around it, or the fairies may have simply kept their own fort under the grass.

In pasture, on gentle NNW-facing slope. Circular area (30.5m N-S) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 1.5m; ext. H 2.15m); external fosse (D 0.45m). Bank low and narrow WNW->N; earthen material dumped on bank N->ENE extends into interior over short distance. Entrance (Wth 5m) to E. Farm building built immediately outside E bank.
