What is recorded here

Dromdiralough holds a true ringfort, not a fairy tale. Its earthen bank still stands thirty-one centimetres taller outside than inside, enclosing a raised floor that slopes gently northward while field boundaries radiate outward like spokes from a wheel. The eastern entrance faces Doo Lough, where water light would have struck the interior at sunrise. Whatever lived there measured space in circles, not lines, and the land still remembers that shape.

In pasture, on a N-facing slope, overlooking Doo Lough to the ENE. A circular area (diam. 22.7m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2.2m; int. H 1.5m; ext. H 3.1m). An external fosse (Wth 1.7m; D 0.1m) is evident SSW-N. There is an entrance (Wth 2.7m) at E. The interior is raised and slopes gently down to the N. Field boundaries radiate from the rath at NNE, E, SSW and W. There is an enclosure (KE075-014001-) in the interior of the rath.
