Fairy fort in Dromatimore, County Cork: an oval earthen ringfort, 46m by 38m, with a 1m bank, fosse and eastern entrance, hiding a man-made underground passage. People may have lived, hidden or worshipped there before calling it a fairy fort; the names changed, the holes did not.

In pasture, on E-facing slope. Oval raised area (46m N-S; c. 38m E-W) defined by scarp (H 1m) with slight internal lip (H 0.2m); external fosse (D 1m); outer bank (H 1m) with berm along inner face to S and W. Entrance to ENE. Man-made underground passage (CO061-088002-) in interior. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
