What is recorded here
No visible trace remains of the fairy fort in Dooradoyle, though a 1924 map marked an oval bank fifty metres across. That disappearance fits the name, for fairies prefer unseen rooms to studied ruins. The land may still remember the shape beneath grass and footpaths, waiting for someone clever enough to notice what is missing.
Located N of a cross roads and W of a green area in a housing estate. The monument, indicated on the 1924 OS 6-inch map as an embanked oval enclosure (diam. c. 50m N-S by 40m E-W), has been levelled and no trace of it was evident when inspected.
