Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Doonamona

Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

Doonamona holds a faded ring of earth where human hands shaped the land before memory failed. It is a fairy fort in local story, yet a human dwelling in fact, likely occupied during the medieval period when ringforts dotted the Irish countryside. The boundary may have marked a family home, a seasonal camp or a small defensive settlement. Its survival depends on invisibility: no tower, no gate, no name in stone. The earth forgot the owner but kept the shape of the owner's life.
