Fairy fort in Donaghmore, County Cork, Ireland: earthen ringfort in pasture on a SW-facing slope, circular area about 30m across, bank 2.9m high inside, outside ditch 2.3m deep from SW to E, gap in the bank to SSW. Local people may have called it a fairy fort because the round bank and ditch looked like a hidden doorway rather than an ordinary field mark. Someone lived, worked or kept animals inside that small strong place before the pasture covered its edges.

In pasture, on SW-facing slope. Circular area (diam. c. 30m N-S) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 2.9m), with external fosse (D 2.3m) SW->E. Gap in bank to SSW.
