Fairy forts are earthen rings built by humans, yet local story claims they belong to hidden neighbours. This particular ring sits on a Monaghan ridge, mapped in 1907 but now invisible beneath grazing pasture. It occupies most of a small field, suggesting a compact domestic life rather than a grand fortress. The earth swallowed the boundary, but the shape remains in memory and mapping.

Located just off the crest of the SE-facing slope of a NE-SW ridge. It is depicted only on the 1907 edition of the OS 6-inch map as a circular feature (diam. c. 35m) occupying most of a small rectangular field. No archaeological feature is visible at ground level in pasture that slopes down steeply to the E. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Monaghan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986).
