Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Derry (muskerry East By.) stands as a sixty-foot earthen circle on a south-facing slope in County Cork. Its surviving bank, now trapped inside a field fence, marks the edge of a place where humans may have lived, loved or fled before forgetting the shape of their own world. The lost northern earth was taken during ordinary farm work, yet the remaining curve still resists explanation.

In pasture, on S-facing slope. Circular area (diam. 60.5m) defined by earthen bank (H 1.6m) ENE->SW; levelled elsewhere. Surviving bank incorporated into field fence system. Hartnett (1939, 185) recorded 'traces of a deep wide fosse' to W. According to local information, bank to N and NW levelled c. 1970s during field fence clearance.
