Fairy fort in Derry, County Cork: a 35m earthen ring on a north-facing pasture slope, its outer bank still standing 1.5m high while the inner edge has nearly vanished beneath grass and trod soil. The broken north-west gap, stone-flecked base and fence-worn crest suggest people used it as a boundary long after any doorway stopped meaning entry. Yet the levelled interior, raised against the hillslope, keeps the shape of a made place: a small circle where life could be measured, marked and remembered.

In pasture, on N-facing slope. Circular area (35m N-S; 35m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.2m; ext. H 1.5m). Bank topped by and incorporated into field fence system to S and W; stone-faced in parts, with scatter of loose stones along base of outer bank face. Break (Wth 7m) in bank to NNW. Interior raised on N side to compensate for hillslope. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
