Derreenataggart West holds a hidden lios beneath reclaimed pasture, its earthy boundary curving slightly west beside Curradonohoe. The fort has vanished from sight, yet local memory preserves its shape on a terrace overlooking Bere Island and Berehaven Harbour. An underground passage may still connect the buried place, suggesting human hands built and used the site before livestock and ploughs smoothed it away.

In level reclaimed pasture, on a terrace on a S-facing slope overlooking Bere Island and the entrance to Berehaven Harbour. According to the landowner, the area where a 40m section of the NW-SE townland boundary with Curradonohoe curves c. 20m to the SW, has traditionally been known as a 'lios'. Some slight undulations were noted on the surface, but these most likely resulted from the reclamation work. The possible rath is not visible at ground level.
