What is recorded here
Deegerty holds a small earthen ringfort where a collapsed stone wall now overlays the ancient bank. The flat interior has surrendered to elder and briars, turning a human boundary into a tangled fairy cage. People may have lived inside the circle before the stones fell, but the trees have taken the place back.
Atop low rise, in area covered by trees, bushes and briars. Roughly circular area (22.3m N-S; 19m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank SSE->E (int. H 0.45m; ext. H 0.95m); bank is overlaid by collapsed stone wall E->SSE which is part of surrounding field-boundary system. Interior is flat and partially overgrown with elder and briars.
