Fairy fort in Curraghs, County Cork: a roughly circular earthen enclosure, about twenty to twenty-four metres across, on a south-west slope above a western stream valley. It appeared on the 1842 and 1937 maps, but local information says it was levelled before 1895, leaving only a low rise in pasture. The fairies may have fled the spade before the men finished boasting about strength.

In pasture, on SW-facing slope overlooking stream valley to W. Depicted as hachured roughly circular enclosure (diam. c. 20m) on 1842 and 1937 OS 6-inch maps. Levelled; circular area (c. 24.3m N-S; c. 24.3m E-W) enclosed by low rise. According to local information, levelled before 1895.
