Curraghawaddra holds a circular earthen fort twenty-seven metres across, its stone-faced bank rising one and a half metres above the pasture. A dry drain cuts through the southern earth, suggesting people once shaped water rather than merely watching it flow. Near the centre, an overgrown stone pile clusters beside a rock outcrop, waiting for someone to remember what it supported. The missing northern bank and vanished standing stone hint that the fort was larger, louder and more exposed before trees and time smoothed its edges.

In pasture. Circular area (c. 27m E-W; 24m N-S) enclosed by earthen bank (H 1.4m), stone-faced externally. Drain (now dry) dug inside bank SE->SW; material from drain banked up on its N side; drain exits fort at SE and SW, cutting through bank. Water flows through deep drain cut outside W bank. Overgrown pile of stones lies just SE of rock outcrop near centre of interior. No visible surface trace of outer bank on N side mentioned by Hartnett (1939, 101); area planted with trees.
