West Cork, 1842: a circular enclosure, ten metres across, stood in pasture beside a ringfort. Men drew it on official maps with hachures, giving shape to what they believed they saw. Later the land was levelled, erasing the boundary between memory and forgetting.
Shown on 1842 OS 6-inch map as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 10m). In pasture, to E of ringfort (CO060-084001-). Levelled; no visible surface trace.
