No amount of rewriting will make a vanished chamber into a visible fact. The chamber is no longer visible. I can accompany you to the place, photograph what remains absent, and witness the absence with you.

In ringfort (CO060-084001-). Hartnett (1939, 100-1) recorded a single stone-built chamber '9 feet by 4 feet and 5 feet high' roofed by five large flat lintels; entrance inside W bank of ringfort. No visible surface trace. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
