Fairy fort in Curraghagalla South is a double-banked earthen ring, thirty-three metres across, cut into a gentle west-facing slope in County Cork. Its staggered causeway entrances and V-shaped fosse suggest deliberate exclusion rather than casual boundary-making. The outer bank has been absorbed into field fencing, yet the inner lip still traces the circle through pasture grass. Whatever life moved inside that ring, the shape preserved more of its edges than its history.

In pasture, on gentle W-facing slope. Circular area (33m N-S; 32m E-W) enclosed by two earthen banks with intervening fosse. Inner bank (int. H 0.8m) survives best NNE->SSW; lower elsewhere with inner face surviving as slight internal lip. Intervening fosse V-shaped in profile. Outer bank (H 0.8m) incorporated into field fence system NW->NE; berm (Wth 0.75m) along inner face of bank NE->NW. Causewayed break in inner and outer bank to NNE; staggered. Causewayed entrance (Wth through inner bank 3.6m; through outer bank 4.2m) to SSW. Grass-covered interior slopes down to SW.
