What is recorded here

Fairy forts are often called the last refuges of the displaced fairies when humans took the good land. They are also ordinary ringforts, farming boundaries and burial markers that became mysterious because people stopped knowing their purpose. The flat circular shape and hidden entrance fit both readings. The real story is that memory left the place behind.

A slightly raised (H 1m), circular area (diam. 40m) is enclosed by an earthen bank and a well-defined outer fosse. An entrance was not readily identifiable due to relatively recent ground disturbance on the monument.
