Fairy forts are human remains, not fairy homes, though the name still flies ahead of sense. Cullentragh is a true ringfort, a circular rath set into a north-facing pasture slope in County Longford. Its bank is broad and low, worn into the living field, but the shape still holds: a made circle, possibly a doorway at its break, old enough to have become legend before anyone remembered the hands that built it.

On a gentle N-facing slope in pasture. A raised circular area (diam. 59.4m) enclosed by a wide low bank of earth and stone (Wth 6.1m; H 0.2-0.55m). From ENE-E-SSE and from WSW-W-NNW the outer face of the bank has been steepened and incorporated into the field boundaries. There is no trace of a fosse.
