Fairy fort in Crooha West is a circular earthen ring on the lower south slope of Mass Mount, with a 4m entrance to the south and a possible underground passage inside. Cows still walk the pasture above it, unaware that the ground holds a chamber no one has fully mapped. The bank rises nearly two metres, tall enough to block the sky at dusk, and the ditch cuts the grass in a shallow curve. Whatever lived there left a hole in the earth and a story in the air.

In pasture, on spur in lower S-facing slope of Mass Mount. Circular raised area (22m N-S; 23m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 1.85m); external fosse (D 0.95m) S->E. Entrance (Wth 4m) to S.
