What is recorded here

Half a metre of earth and stone still stands on the Creggan ridge, enclosing a twenty-five metre circle that overlookes the rolling county. The modern road has cut through the outer ditch, yet the southern and western trenches remain visible beneath the grass. People may have lived inside this small fort, raised children there, or simply marked the horizon before leaving. The fairies took the rest, according to local story, but the bones of the human home still hold their shape against the sky.

Located on high ground with good extensive views in undulating countryside. Circular area (diam 25m E-W) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (Wth 1.5m; int. H 0.5m) stone faced at N and E, external fosse (Wth 1.9m; ext. D 0.2m; int. D 0.7m) with possible entrance gap (Wth 2m) at E. The external fosse is only visible from S through W to N elsewhere it is intersected by a modern road.
