Fairy forts hide in plain sight, wearing scrub and forgetting human shape until someone remembers they are rooms. Craggard is one of those rooms: a circular earth-and-stone bank, about twenty-five metres across, crouching on an east-facing slope below a limestone hillock in County Limerick. The south arc has worn low, as if the fort learned the easiest way to disappear. What lives there now is not madness but patience, waiting for the chance to become a house again.

In scrub-covered area, on E-facing slope below brow of limestone hillock. Circular area (diam. c. 25m) enclosed by earth-and-stone bank (int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.95m).
