Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Courtbrown

Fairy fort in Courtbrown, County Limerick: a thirty-metre earthen ring, partly sunk into pasture, its bank still standing from southeast to northeast while the rest has given way. Trees cover the level middle now, hiding whatever the ring once kept inside. It is the kind of place where human life and fairy story become hard to separate, as if the earth itself forgot which claim to remember.
