Fairy fort in Court, County Limerick: a 28-metre earthen ring on a low hillock, 150 metres from the Shannon estuary, its scarped edge rising nearly three metres before fading where a field boundary cut through. The northwest corner holds a smaller raised circle nested inside the larger one, as if somebody marked a room within a room and then left the house empty. Cattle still walk the pasture above it, unaware they are grazing the roof of a place that never stopped being built.

In undulating pasture, on summit of low hillock, c. 150m from S shore of Shannon estuary. Circular area (28m N-S; 28.5m E-W) defined by scarped edge (H 2.9m; Wth 10m). Scarped edge less pronounced on N side where lower end truncated by field boundary. Site utilised sides of hillock to enhance its own edge. Interior level except for raised circular area in NW quadrant defined by scarped edge (H 0.4m); edge of latter overlies edge of enclosure W->N.
