Fairy fort in Corrabola, County Longford: a 32 m earthen ring on a low pasture rise, with an eastern entrance, a cut fosse and banks that later ploughing or foot traffic softened. The name suggests people once saw more than livestock there, perhaps lights, shadows or a house belonging to nobody human. What is certain is shape and age of working: earth moved, hole dug, boundary made visible on open land.

On a low rise in pasture. A report in 1976 (SMR file) noted that this raised circular area (diam. c. 32m) was enclosed by a low bank of earth and stone, an intervening fosse and an outer bank. The original entrance was at E. It is defined by a scarp (H 1-2m) at the base of which is a recently recut fosse (Wth 2.2m; D 0.6-0.8m). The outer bank has since been levelled.
