What is recorded here

Nobody knows when the last human left Cooltymurraghy, but the fort still stands on the hill summit with a narrow gap at the southeast and a shadowed passage at the north. Its low bank and steep scarp mark a small, defensible world, while the square depression inside suggests a chamber, cellar or forgotten room. The fairies may have taken it, yet the shape remains clear enough to argue back.

On a hill summit in undulating grassland. Subcircular rath (N-S 31.5m, ENE-WSW 26.5m), in fair condition, defined by a low bank, and from NW through N to ENE by a scarp. There is a gap (Wth 2.8m) at SE. Within the interior, there is a large almost square depression (L 6.6m, Wth 6.3m) at NE and a probable Man-made underground passage (GA099-071001-) at N.
