What is recorded here

Coole East once held a thirty-five metre ringfort on a sunny slope, but ploughs and time erased the ridge. The 1842 survey still draws its ghost circle beside pasture now green and empty. Another fort stands two hundred metres southeast, waiting to be seen. The lost one may have sheltered people, hosted festivals or marked a boundary before forgetting took it.
