Coole East lost a forty-metre ringfort to the plough, erasing the circular enclosure marked on the 1842 map. The earth swallowed the boundary stones and living memory, leaving only pasture on the south-facing slope. A second levelled fort waits two hundred metres southwest, proving the land once held more than grass.
