Conaghil's fairy fort is an earthen ringfort on a Leitrim drumlin, a subrectangular grassy space about 32m wide and 31.5m long, with a 4.5m bank, shallow internal ridge, and outer bands of rushes. Field banks have cut through its east and west sides, while young conifers crowd around it; the true entrance has not been identified. It may have been a home, a boundary marker, or a place where people believed the fairies kept their own counsel.

Situated on top of a drumlin. This is a grass-covered subrectangular area (dims 32m NE-SW; 31.5m NW-SE) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 4.5m; int. H 0.1m; ext. H 0.6m) and external band of rushes (Wth 2.5m) NW-N, and a scarp (H 0.4m), external band of rushes (Wth 2m) and slight outer bank (Wth 4.5m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.5m) SE-SW. The monument is truncated by NNW-SSE field bank at E and a NW-SE field bank at W. The original entrance is not identified, and the rath remains unplanted in a coniferous forest planted c. 2000 (OSi images).
