Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Commons OF Lloyd is an oval grass-covered area on the Hill of Lloyd, enclosed by an earthen bank that rises to 1.8m externally but drops to a shallow scarp elsewhere. The original entrance remains unidentifiable, leaving the boundary as a continuous ridge rather than a doorway. Its dimensions span 44.5m ENE-WSW and 30.5m NNW-SSE, with a berm replacing most of the fosse except slight traces at NNW. The shape suggests human making, yet the lost entrance and uneven bank invite wondering about who built it, when they stopped, and why the land kept the outline but took the threshold.

Situated on a rise towards the bottom of the N-facing slope of the Hill of Lloyd. This is an oval grass-covered area (dims 44.5m ENE-WSW; 30.5m NNW-SSE) defined by an earthen bank (at SSW: Wth of base 6.5m int. H 0.3m; ext. H 1.8m) S-W-NNE that is reduced to a scarp (at NNE: Wth 4m; H 1m) elsewhere. There are slight traces of a fosse at NNW but it is largely represented by a berm (Wth 3-4m).
