What is recorded here

Situated on a low rise, in gently undulating pasture. Monument described in 1971 and 1977 as a roughly oval-shaped area (dims. 36m E-W) enclosed by an inner bank, an intervening fosse and an outer bank with causewayed (overall Wth of causeway 9.2m; top Wth of causeway 4.7m; H 0.4m) entrance ESE. The monument is bisected by a field boundary running ESE-WNW. The inner bank is reduced to a scarp from W-N-ESE. The fosse is best preserved from SE-S and is barely traceable from WNW-N-ESE. The outer bank is visible at SSE and from S-SW-W. The interior rises slightly from the perimeter towards the centre and a circular enclosure (WM024-037001-) is visible in the S quadrant. Compiled by Alison McQueen, Vera Rahilly and Caimin O’Brien. Date of upload: 12 August 2019
